Sber starts accepting applications for the Sber500 international accelerator

Sber is launching a new wave of the Sber500 international accelerator for tech entrepreneurs. Experienced mentors and international experts with a solid track record and a global networking background will curate all stages of our updated program. In an additional benefit for participants, more than 30 partner corporations will be working with graduates in addition to Sber. Registration is open until 14 February 2023.

Projects offering solutions in any of 20 tech areas may participate in the accelerator, including advertising and marketing, geotargeting and mapping, logistics, computer vision, telemedicine, web 3.0 services, cybersecurity, and others. Projects that involve AI technologies and metaverse and DeFi solutions will get an additional mentor support and an opportunity to build their solutions into Sber products. Startups from around the world are invited to apply, including India, Iran, Latin America, the Middle East and North Africa. The key condition is that a project must demonstrate a minimum viable product (MVP), a complete team, and initial sales.

The program is scheduled to take six weeks. International experts will run your business’s diagnostics, give custom recommendations on how to accelerate it, and share their insights into successful development and positioning of similar projects in other international markets. A Demo Day will take place in the spring of 2023, where the most successful graduates will receive investments and an opportunity to pilot their projects at Sber and our partner corporations; long-term contracts will be signed with them based on the pilots’ results.

Graduates of the three previous waves of Sber500 signed more than 50 investment deals worth RUB 2.55 billion in total in addition to more than 2,000 commercial contracts, while their annual revenues were up by 10 times on average after graduation.

“For three years our accelerator has been a quality label for startups. Launching this wave, we tried to keep everything that was valuable in the program: the access to the best international and Russian experts, networking, Sber’s and its partners’ resources. Today, Russian corporations and investors have an enormous appetite for technology solutions, that’s why I am sure – solutions that we’ll see this season will have their support.”

Alexander Vedyakhin, First Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board, Sberbank:
